CODE OF BEHAVIOR
staff use an assertive approach for managing behavior based upon a system of rewards and consequences which have been discussed and agreed with the children at the beginning of each year. The emphasis within this is upon rewarding positive behavior (catching them doing it right), rather than catching them doing it wrong.
HOMEWORK (with little effort)
Our approach to homework is based upon a positive partnership between home and school enabling the child to make links between learning at home and at school. Homework encourages good work habits and enables us to assess how much children have understood and retained.
PARTNERSHIP WITH PARENTS
Parents are always welcome in school, and staff welcome opportunities to share thoughts and feelings about the way their children are developing. The school life wherever possible as this support and involvement enhances the learning process. Formal interviews between teachers and parents take place during the year, offering the opportunity to discuss your child's progress and future targets.
COUNSELING
BAEC's expert team of Counselors work with students , parents and teachers, to create a strong support system for the children. Counselors will not help students when things go wrong, but also work with them pro-actively to minimize the chances of things going wrong.
CAREER GUIDANCE
The school-leaving phase is a critical period in the life of a student. Appropriate career planning is vital to ensure that students are well informed about career options and that they are able to understand their own capabilities and align themselves with potential future career choices.
